Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

CFD modeling and simulation is a tool to mitigate development and design risks by understanding how a system will perform before process and design specifications are finalized. It is essentially a computerized experiment or equipment operation. Processes and process equipment have key parameters defined by mass or volumetric flow rates, mass transfer, pressures and temperatures. These parameters are in the realm of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics. CFD is a powerful software tool that allows solutions to complex problems in the disciplines of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Computational Fluid Dynamics is a tool to numerically solve the governing equations for transport of mass, momentum and energy in fluids. Results can be displayed in many formats according to the client’s requirements. At TPSI, we have significant experience across a variety of Bio-pharmaceutical and HVAC applications. Our clients are represented by R&D, Manufacturing Technology and Engineering with applications ranging from small scale development to large process equipment operation. Our services include:

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation

  • Fluid flow around moving rigid body simulations

  • Performance evaluation and risk mitigation of equipment designs

  • Integrated quality approach within project execution

  • Develop organizational plans for clients to effectively implement simulation into their development and engineering organizations.
